The HUSKY D Messaging Starter Kit includes informational materials designed to help hospitals, community-based organizations (CBO), and healthcare providers prepare to support and communicate to patients the federal Medicaid eligibility changes and new work rules taking effect January 1, 2027. CHA encourages hospitals and health systems to use these materials in their own communications with patients, members, staff, and community stakeholders. Providers are also encouraged to disseminate the resources broadly through community-based organizations, coalitions, faith-based organizations, and local partners to help ensure consistent messaging across Connecticut.
