PROUD: Trauma-Informed Care Summer Webinar Series – Grace Under Pressure: Providing Culturally Responsive Care 6/24/25

June 24, 2025 @ 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The communities served by PROUD embody a vast range of cultures and life experiences, and many patients have experienced traumatic events. What one person may find comforting or helpful may feel invasive or uncomfortable to someone else. This training offers providers practical information to ensure that every interaction with patients is as culturally respectful as possible, so that the care offered is received as positively as it is intended.

Presenter: Mara Gottlieb, PhD, LMSW, President, Talking Changes

Dr. Mara Gottlieb is the President of Talking Changes, an anti-oppression and bias-awareness consulting firm offering trainings and individual coaching and supervision. For over twenty-five years, she has facilitated trainings across the country, including serving as a keynote speaker and conference presenter. Her programs address subjects including unconscious bias, cultural humility, anti-racism advocacy and LGBTQIA awareness and allyship. She has served as an adjunct professor at the NYU Silver School of Social Work, Smith College School for Social Work, and Southern Connecticut State University, and has two published articles in the Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Diversity in Social Work.
