PROUD: Trauma-Informed Care — Summer 2025 Webinar Series

The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) are hosting a six-part webinar series, PROUD: Trauma-Informed Care, during summer 2025.  Parents Recovering from Opioid and Other Use Disorders (PROUD) is a SAMHSA-funded program of DMHAS.

Session topics will have a unifying theme of trauma-informed care and feature perspectives on infrastructure that supports a respon­sive system of care, the navigation of complex trauma, and the creation of environments that support best practices in caring for others.

Continuing Education (CE) credits are approved.  CE information, presenter biographies, and session details — including updates — will be updated on the registration pages, which can be accessed through the CHA website here.

These sessions are designed for physicians, nurses, social workers, quality professionals, risk managers, healthcare executives, and all healthcare professionals working with patients impacted by substance use and mental health conditions.

Statewide Community Care Team (CCT) Collaborative Meeting

The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA), in collaboration with the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CTBHP) and Carelon Behavioral Health (Carelon), invites members of community care teams from across the state to participate in an in-person statewide Community Care Team (CCT) Collaborative meeting.

Participants will:

  • Network with key stakeholders from across the state
  • Celebrate successes of the CCT model
  • Learn about legislative updates

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from established teams, engage in open dialogue, and explore strategies to maximize the impact of CCTs for the individuals they serve.

PROUD Enduring Recorded Sessions

Virtual Sessions

As care providers, there is much to learn about how to help families managing substance use disorders be successful.  Parents Recovering from Opioid and Other Use Disorders (PROUD) includes an education series for healthcare and service providers, giving them tools to help individuals and families manage the many challenges they face.

The education series includes several recorded sessions open for a year from their recording date.  These sessions are free to participants (registration is necessary) and are available on demand to fit into busy schedules.
