The Connecticut Hospitals Make Us Better campaign messaging celebrates Connecticut hospitals as a source of statewide pride by focusing on the patients and communities hospitals serve. Connecticut hospitals make all of us better by delivering world-class care, strengthening community health, and supporting a strong economy through jobs and workforce development. The campaign highlights the many ways Connecticut hospitals improve health and enhance quality of life, including by bringing essential services and resources into communities, utilizing innovative treatment technologies, training our next generation of caregivers, and connecting patients with preventive care.

CHA Advocacy Materials

CHA has released several advocacy materials detailing valuable data and information demonstrating the impact of hospitals and health systems on Connecticut’s economy and communities. These materials are publicly available to view, download, and share on CHA’s website.
- The 2026 Connecticut Hospitals Today report examines the key challenges facing Connecticut’s hospitals and health systems, summarizes the complex issue of hospital finance, and highlights how hospitals fuel the state’s economy as the largest collective employer and major purchasers of local goods and services
- The 2026 Community Benefit Report contains tangible examples of hospitals’ collaboration with community-based partners to address upstream, root-cause social, economic, and environmental drivers of health, invest in preventive care, enhance healthcare access and affordability, and advance health equity
CHA releases these annual snapshot reports to help inform healthcare-related policy, including throughout the 2026 Legislative Session. Key advocacy priorities are summarized in the Connecticut Hospitals Make Us Better printable palm card.
All current and future advocacy materials are accessible through the CHA website’s Advocacy webpage. CHA will provide additional advocacy materials throughout the session on key legislative issues that arise.
