Celebrating National Donate Life Month

Every April throughout National Donate Life Month, the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) is proud to partner with Donate Life Connecticut and New England Donor Services (NEDS) to promote organ and tissue donations and celebrate those who give the gift of life.  Organ, eye, and tissue donors provide hope and light to the 100,000 people on the national transplant waiting list.

On Saturday, April 5, Donate Life and NEDS will host the annual Donate Life Volunteer Summit at CHA in Wallingford, where donors, recipients and their families, volunteers, and healthcare professionals convene to share stories, show gratitude, and discuss advocacy goals.

Donate Life Connecticut’s mission is to increase the number of registered organ and tissue donors through public education and awareness.  The organization also provides information about living donation, which allows healthy individuals the option to safely donate and help shorten the waitlist.

CHA has raised and will fly the Donate Life flag at its Wallingford campus through April.
