FreeThe AIM Perinatal Mental Health Conditions Patient Safety Bundle emphasizes timely assessment, treatment, and referral for individuals experiencing mental health conditions. This training will introduce clinicians to Access Mental Health for Moms CT and provide practical guidance on utilizing consultation and referral resources to support patient care. Participants will learn when and how to access psychiatric consultation, identify appropriate referral pathways, and navigate situations involving urgent mental health concerns.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the services available through Access Mental Health for Moms and the role of the program in supporting AIM Perinatal Mental Health Conditions bundle implementation.
- Identify situations in which psychiatric consultation or referral support may be beneficial.
- Demonstrate how to access and utilize the clinician consultation line and associated resources.
- Apply recommendations from psychiatric consultation services to support treatment planning and care coordination.
- Recognize signs of psychiatric emergencies and identify appropriate response procedures.
