HAMDEN, CT — More Americans than ever are using artificial intelligence for research, data analysis, medical advice and even companionship. But that doesn’t mean they trust it or even view it positively.
According to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, just over half of Americans have used AI to research a topic they are curious about, up 14 points from April 2025 (37%). Using AI for school or work projects or to analyze data is something 27% of Americans reported having done and another 24% report having used it to generate images.
