HARTFORD, CT — Renters and housing developers could benefit from a housing bill that advanced Friday out of the Judiciary Committee.
House Bill 7209 contains a number of changes to state housing law, but it was the inclusion of language permitting developers to collect attorney fees from towns and outlawing some artificial intelligence algorithms in the setting of rental rates that generated the most opposition during the 20-minute debate.
