Connecticut Leads the Nation in Healthcare Accessibility

Connecticut is leading the nation in healthcare accessibility, according to a new Forbes Advisor Report.  Out of all 50 states, Connecticut ranks second based on metrics including the number of qualified healthcare providers, hospital beds, community health centers, and insured residents, among other factors.

This ranking is a testament to the constant and ongoing work of healthcare providers, advocates, officials, lawmakers, and stakeholders to enhance healthcare access and affordability throughout the state.  While efforts to grow the healthcare workforce, improve equity and affordability, and invest in resources continue, it is important to acknowledge the significant progress that has earned Connecticut recognition as one of the best states in the country for access to world-class care.
