DID YOU KNOW: In CT, any pregnant individual who is using prescribed/non prescribed substances (including cannabis) during pregnancy should have a Family Care Plan (FCP) completed before birth.
Federal and Connecticut legislative mandates require our systems of care to implement CAPTA and FCPs. It is critical to understand what your respective role in this work is.
This training is intended for Hospitals: OBGYN, Psychiatry, Nursing, Social Work, Mental Health Professionals, etc.
Training Objectives*
• Learn the CAPTA and CARA legislative requirements
• Learn how to implement your role to support CAPTA and FCPs
• How to develop FCPs
• Identify resources available for clients, patients, and providers
• Learn about SEPI-CT
