Health Dept. confirms first flu death in CT this season, commissioner urges residents to get flu shots

HARTFORD, CT — The first influenza fatality of the year has been confirmed in Connecticut, according to the state Department of Public Health.

The victim was a Hartford County resident in their 80s, and the death occurred the week of Oct. 25, according to the DPH.
