Connecticut nurse among 324 people charged in national health care fraud takedown

CHESHIRE, Conn. — A Cheshire nurse was among 324 people charged nationally in the largest health care fraud takedown in U.S. history, according to the U.S. Department of Justice Monday.

Michele Rene Luzzi Muzkya, 60, of Cheshire, was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on June 23, charging her with unlawful distribution of controlled substances and making false statements in connection with health care matters.
