WEEKLY UPDATE: 01/23/25
The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) is pleased to announce the call for submissions for the CHA Annual Awards. The presentation of the awards is an important component of the CHA Annual Meeting and a valuable opportunity to showcase Connecticut hospitals, health systems, and staff achievements.
This year, entries are being accepted through the CHA website. Entrants must be logged in to their CHA account to access the award submission webpages, which are linked below. For instructions on how to set up an account if you have not yet, click here.
- The John D. Thompson Award for Excellence in the Delivery of Healthcare is awarded to a hospital or health system for improvement in patient care through a modification of process substantiated by the use of data. Click here to view the John D. Thompson submission page and entry form
- The Connecticut’s Hospital Community Service Award recognizes a hospital or health system that has made an outstanding contribution to its community, particularly for a program or services targeted toward a specific segment of a hospital or healthcare system’s community. The entry deadline for both these awards is Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
CHA is also excited to present the 2025 CHA Healthcare Heroes Award at this year’s Annual Meeting. The Healthcare Heroes Award recognizes the invaluable contributions of healthcare workers, both to their field and to the community at large. Hospitals are invited to select one employee, volunteer, or staff member to receive this award. Click here to view the Healthcare Heroes Award nomination page and form. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, March 7, 2025.
