CHA, in consultation with the Department of Social Services (DSS), has released new informational materials to help hospitals, community-based organizations, and healthcare providers prepare to support and communicate to patients about the federal Medicaid eligibility changes and new work rules taking effect January 1, 2027.

Saint Francis Hospital has launched a new program to offer free prescription medication to eligible members of the community.

The hospital is providing prescription medications to individuals who are uninsured, low-income and living with chronic illness, according to a Thursday press release.
