New school health center in Waterbury gives children, families ‘barrier-free’ access to care

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A new school-based clinic officially opened Monday in Waterbury, which will give elementary students access to medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

The new Driggs Elementary School-based Health Center is located on Woodlawn Terrace in Waterbury, and is one of three school-based centers in the city. Waterbury’s health department, mayor, and public school district representatives celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday afternoon.
