Hospital Association celebrates restructured, ‘patient-focused’ tax plan in new state budget

The $28.1 billion state budget passed by the General Assembly on Saturday includes a new, five-year hospital tax agreement designed to leverage more federal aid.

The deal, which was negotiated between the state and the Connecticut Hospital Association, replaces the current five-year hospital tax agreement that is set to expire June 30.

The association is praising the new agreement for providing “a patient-focused hospital tax.”
