Hartford HealthCare to launch virtual health platform on April 1

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) announced Friday it plans to launch a new virtual health platform in April.

Called HHC 24/7, the service will launch on April 1 and is being developed in partnership with K Health, a New York-based telehealth company that provides consultations with doctors via a mobile app.

HHC said the service, which is integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), will bring primary care to patients “anytime and anywhere.”

HHC, which operates Hartford Hospital, is Connecticut’s second-largest health system, with 500 points of access throughout the state.

“This is about world-class care and ensuring everyone has access to the best care available,” said Jeffrey A. Flaks, president and CEO of Hartford HealthCare. “Our partnership with K Health helps make this happen.”

HHC said the service will be fully integrated with its health system, ensuring that HHC 24/7 is coordinated and connected to the care patients receive systemwide.

“K Health is the first company to build clinical-grade AI into a system of care delivery, changing the paradigm on access, quality and costs of healthcare,” said Ran Shaul, co-founder and chief product officer of K Health.”

In addition to Hartford HealthCare, K Health partners with Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles and Hackensack Meridian Health in Edison New Jersey on its telehealth system.
