CT Senate President Martin Looney not seeking re-election, ending 46-year legislative career

After 46 years in the Connecticut legislature, Senate President Pro Tempore Martin M. Looney said he will not seek reelection in 2026.

The New Haven Democrat made the announcement Saturday, concluding a legislative career that started in 1981.
