Advocates divided about 2026 Legislative Session

While two large advocacy organizations said they were mostly pleased with the General Assembly’s work this year, business and grassroots citizen groups said lawmakers didn’t do enough to ease the burden on those feeling the pressure of higher energy and healthcare costs.

Representatives from the Connecticut For All Coalition, made up of labor, community, and faith organizations, said the legislature and Gov. Ned Lamont did not do enough to address federal funding cuts or the state’s “unfair tax system.”
