CHA Statement on 2025 Legislative Session Opening Day and Governor Lamont’s State of the State Address

January 8, 2025

WALLINGFORD – The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) released the following statement in response to the opening day of the Connecticut General Assembly Legislative Session and Governor Ned Lamont’s State of the State Address:

“We applaud Governor Lamont’s leadership and commitment to advancing affordability and opportunity.  Connecticut hospitals and health systems are entirely aligned with those two goals to make our state a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.  Hospitals work every day to enhance quality of life by caring for patients, supporting an exemplary workforce, innovating to advance world-class care, contributing to the economy, and supporting vulnerable communities.  We look forward to continuing to work with the Governor, lawmakers, and state leaders to advance these shared goals through collaborative work this session to protect healthcare access and affordability, grow our future workforce, and address social drivers of health to support all individuals and families.”
