Since the Diaper Bank of Connecticut (DBCT) and CHA launched Statewide Diaper Drive to support the continuation of Diaper Connections, state officials, lawmakers, and advocates have make significant contributions, but high demand for this critical resource remains. Increased funding is imperative to maintain and expand the existing level of diaper distribution in Connecticut. Online donations can be made here.
During the 2024 Legislative Session, several state leaders set up diaper drop boxes outside their offices, collecting dozens of supplies. CHA thanks them for their generous contributions.
Diaper Connections program, which was developed in partnership between DBCT and CHA, screens for diaper need at local hospitals and provides diapers to families in collaboration with community partners. Since it launched in November 2022, the program has distributed over 2 million diapers to more than 3,000 children through community organizations and in hospital settings such as labor and delivery units, maternity and pediatric clinics, emergency departments, and primary care sites.
