Joint Commission launches voluntary healthy food recognition program

The Joint Commission has launched a new voluntary program that recognizes accredited healthcare organizations for their approach to healthy food access and education.

The Commitment to Health and Enticing Food (CHEF) program lands in the wake of heightened nutrition scrutiny from the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement and a more specific focus on hospital food spearheaded by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
