Connecticut lawmakers vote to expand psilocybin mushrooms for PTSD treatment

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Connecticut lawmakers voted on legislation to expand a psilocybin mushroom program that has shown promising results for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The program currently treats around 20 veterans in a supervised study at Yale. The legislation would expand eligibility to include veterans, first responders, EMTs and frontline healthcare workers.
