CHA Hosts Nurse Preceptorship Program

On September 10, more than 30 nurses participated in the CHA Nurse Preceptorship Program.  The one-day program, developed by CHA and a team of educators from hospitals and schools of nursing, provided foundational content for the role of nurse preceptor.  Supporting and strengthening the work of nurse preceptors is critical to the development of new nurses and retention of the highly skilled staff registered nurses who teach them at the bedside.

Five Connecticut Residents Hospitalized Related to Vaping

The Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) is investigating the cause of illness that led to the hospitalization of five patients this summer with severe lung disease possibly related to using e-cigarette or vapor products. All patients have been discharged from the hospital.
