Connecticut Ranks Third in the Nation for Healthcare

Connecticut earned the number three spot nationwide for healthcare, in the top three states with Hawaii and Massachusetts, according to U.S. News & World Report.  The ranking reflects performance across three key areas: healthcare access, quality, and public health.

The state stood out in healthcare access, taking the second spot overall.  It ranked first in both child wellness visits and adult dental visits.  In the public health category, Connecticut also placed second for having one of the lowest smoking rates.

The report highlights a strong regional showing from the Northeast, with Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Jersey all scoring high marks in healthcare.
