HARTFORD, CT — The first case of measles in Connecticut in more than four years has been confirmed in Fairfield County, according to the Department of Public Health.
The department late Wednesday afternoon said the child is unvaccinated and under age 10. Nationally, more than 1,800 cases of measles have been reported in 2025, the most since the virus was declared eradicated in the country in 2000 and most in more than three decades, according to the International Vaccine Access Center.
