CHA Statement on Maternal Health Bills Signed Into Law

WALLINGFORD — The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) released the following statement on Governor Ned Lamont’s bill signing held today celebrating the passage of Public Act 25-38, An Act Concerning Maternal And Infant Health Care, and Special Act 25-7, An Act Concerning Maternal Health:

“Connecticut hospitals and health systems are committed to improving maternal health outcomes across the state, and we applaud the efforts of lawmakers, state leaders, and health advocates to advance our collaborative work to achieve this goal, especially these significant steps forward on mental healthcare.  We value the partnerships between care providers and advocates like the Hispanic Health Council as well as lawmakers, including the strong leadership of State Representative Kai Belton, and we look forward to continued collaboration to support the health and well-being of those giving birth, their babies, and entire families.”
