WALLINGFORD – The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) released the following statement in response to a series of executive actions announced today by Governor Ned Lamont to help protect access to COVID-19 vaccines in Connecticut, including actions by the Connecticut Departments of Public Health (DPH), Consumer Protection (DCP), and Insurance Department (CID):
“We appreciate Governor Lamont’s commitment to supporting widespread access to vaccinations and commend the state for acting swiftly to reinforce the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine through updated guidance from the Department of Public Health, Department of Consumer Protection, and Insurance Department that ensures clarity and access.
“These efforts are critical in supporting patients and protecting communities across the state. As we enter respiratory virus season, individuals are encouraged to protect themselves and their families from preventable infections. Vaccination remains one of the most effective tools we have to reduce illness and safeguard public health.”
