The Hospital of Central Connecticut Respite Stay Program In collaboration with the Friendship Service Center. Hospitals occasionally require temporary housing for certain of its patients upon who are ready for discharge but require assistance with their transition out of Hospital’s care. FSC is a housing/shelter facility that provides a wide spectrum of services to the homeless population including meals, supervised medication pass, case management, supportive staffing models, transportation and transitional housing.
L+M Hospital Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut Partnership LMH is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut as they work with the city of New London to transfer ownership of a corner lot located in New London. If approved, the land would be developed into two two-family homes, providing safe, affordable homeownership to four New London families. The project will start in 2026, pending approval.

St. Vincent’s Medical Center Community Support Services (CSS) St. Vincent’s Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services department offers permanent supportive housing and case management for adults who might otherwise be homeless.
Stamford Health Support local homeless shelters Provide monetary, health education and local board support for Inspirica and Pacific House.
Yale New Haven Hospital Columbus House Medical Respite Columbus House Medical Respite is a 12-bed unit housed in Columbus House shelter, to serve those patients who are healthy enough to be discharged home from YNHH but too sick to live in a homeless situation.
Yale New Haven Hospital H.O.M.E. Program The Home Ownership Made Easier (H.O.M.E.) program provides employees with up to $10,000 in forgivable five-year loans to purchase a home in New Haven, helping to stabilize neighborhoods in a community where less than 30 percent of residents own their home.
