Throughout the week of May 12 to May 18, hospitals are commended for their incredible contributions to communities.
CHA is celebrating National Hospital Week 2024 by honoring the dedicated and compassionate caregivers who form the foundation of every Connecticut facility. They show up and step up every single day, providing exceptional, high-quality care to all patients who come through the doors. Hospitals and health systems are pillars in our communities, committed to addressing root cause drivers of health, constantly enhancing healthcare access, and finding innovative ways to support the evolving needs of those who call Connecticut home.
CHA is sharing some of the many ways hospitals contribute to caring for Connecticut, which is detailed in CHA’s three annual reports, “Connecticut Hospitals Today,” “Community Benefit Report,” and “Economic Impact Report.” In 2022, Connecticut hospitals provided care for more than 336,000 patients, accounting for more than 1.9 million days of inpatient care, they invested $3.4 billion in communities, and they had a $38.7 billion impact on the state’s economy.
