Upcoming Advocacy Day Spotlights Hospital-Community Partnerships Statewide

At the second annual Hospital Community Benefit Advocacy Day at the State Capitol, Connecticut hospitals and health systems will highlight the many ways they work alongside local partners to connect individuals and families with essential resources and services — where and when they are needed most.

Scheduled for Thursday, April 30, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Connecticut Hospital Association’s (CHA) expo-style event invites legislators, state officials, and stakeholders to explore programs and initiatives developed jointly by hospitals and community partners.  These collaborations expand access to stable housing, nutritious food, reliable transportation, diaper supplies, preventive health screenings, and steady employment — removing barriers and reducing disparities that contribute to poor health and clinical outcomes.

Hospital participation in the advocacy day is encouraged and is being coordinated through hospital and health system government relations teams.  For more information about participating in the event, contact buckley@chime.org or rall@chime.org.
