Hospitals Support Senior Day at State Capitol

On Thursday, April 9, the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) joined partners in the Connecticut Healthcare Association Collaborative at the State Capitol for the Aging Committee’s Senior Day.  CHA staffed a table and spoke with lawmakers and members of the public about Medicaid reimbursement and other top hospital policy priorities.

This annual gathering is designed for stakeholders, policymakers, and community leaders to advocate for key issues affecting seniors.  Sponsored by the General Assembly’s Aging Committee and spearheaded by State Representative Jane Garibay (D-Windsor), the event also aims to educate and bring awareness to the public about programs and resources available to seniors across the state.

The members of the Connecticut Healthcare Association Collaborative include CHA, the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Facilities, LeadingAge Connecticut & Rhode Island, and the Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home.
