HRO “Safety Starts with Me” Train-the- Trainer – 1/29

January 29, 2026 @ 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Free

This workshop is only open to CHA PSO Member Hospitals.

Safety Starts with Me Train-the-Trainer is a model for spreading training from an internal content expert to other staff in an organization. The
training is scripted. It requires an enthusiastic participant who is willing to make time to train others within the organization.  Many hospitals in Connecticut have trained educators, frontline managers, and senior leaders, including the CEO, to be part of the training contingent. Train-the-trainer sessions are for hospitals and ambulatory practices.

This virtual train-the-trainer session will review the CHA CHAMP patient safety and error prevention training material. Participants in the “Safety Starts with Me” Train-the-Trainer have the opportunity—and are encouraged—to participate in a virtual Trainer Certification session on Friday, February 27, 2026.   Registration information will be available during the January 29 virtual Train-the-Trainer session.

Target audience: Nurses, doctors, quality professionals, risk managers, and others who work in healthcare and plan to train their peers on high reliability principles.

“Safety Starts with Me” Train-the-Trainer will be held on Thursday, January 29  from 9:00 a.m.—1:00 p.m. virtually via Zoom.

This workshop is limited to 30 participants.

This workshop is only open to CHA PSO Member Hospitals
