Veteran lawmaker Tony Hwang will not seek reelection

HARTFORD, CT — A veteran lawmaker is calling it a career after nearly two decades in Hartford, including six terms in the state Senate.

State Sen. Tony Hwang, R-Fairfield, announced on his Connecticut General Assembly page Tuesday that he would not seek reelection to the seat he has held since 2015. He also served three terms in the state House of Representatives .
