New technology helps pinpoint and personalize radiation for cancer patients

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Patients with cancer now have a new option.

The new Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at the Fairfield Cancer Center, a Care Partner of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), has the state’s first ETHOS machine. It provides adaptive radiation therapy allowing doctors to give more precise radiation therapy to tumors and shield surrounding tissues.
