Mammogram uncovers unexpected signs of heart disease, leading to life-saving surgery

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A routine mammogram saved Nancy Preston’s life, but not because it found breast cancer. The 66-year-old woman’s screening uncovered unexpected signs of heart disease that led to life-saving surgery.

“It was just a time bomb that could have happened at any time,” Preston said.
