Sharon Seabold is the new vice president of Strategy, Planning and Business Development at the Hospital for Special Care.
“Sharon is a dynamic and thoughtful leader who brings a proven ability to translate big-picture strategy into operational impact,” said Crista Durand, president and CEO of Hospital for Special Care. “She understands how to grow service lines, guide capital projects and lead with both mission and metrics in mind. We’re thrilled to welcome her to HFSC.”
Seabold will lead the hospital’s strategy, planning, marketing, communications and the Hospital for Special Care Foundation. She will also serve on the executive leadership team, working to align hospital operations, raise its public profile and support growth in both patient care and fundraising.“I’ve long admired Hospital for Special Care’s role as a center of excellence in rehabilitative medicine and complex care,” Seabold said. “It’s a place where strategy and compassion go hand in hand — and I’m excited to help guide its continued growth in service to patients and families across Connecticut and beyond.”
Seabold comes to the hospital from Newport Hospital in Rhode Island, where she was Director of Strategic Relations and Planning. There, she led projects that improved patient care and expanded services, including orthopedic care, inpatient rehabilitation and a new adolescent behavioral health unit. She also helped grow the hospital’s emergency department and launched a Meds-to-Beds program to improve the patient experience.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Day Kimball Hospital in Connecticut, where she oversaw strategy, fundraising programs and financial planning.
