Hispanic breast surgeon creates program to help bridge gaps among Hispanic women

The Hispanic Breast Cancer Program was created by Dr. Monica Valero, a breast surgeon at Yale New Haven Health Park Avenue Medical Center in Trumbull.

Valero has been with Yale New Haven Health for three years and said from early on, she noticed there were gaps and a disconnect with some Hispanic women.
