Hartford HealthCare set to acquire Manchester, Rockville hospitals

Manchester Memorial and Rockville General hospitals are set to start the new year under new ownership.

Hartford HealthCare is scheduled to close on its purchase of the two hospitals on Wednesday and cleared a key regulatory hurdle on Monday.

The healthcare network agreed to conditions aimed at protecting patients and workers, with Attorney General William Tong (D), who had raised antitrust concerns about the sale.
