HARTFORD, CT — A special legislative session expected to produce no drama did just that Monday, with the state House of Representatives and Senate convening for a combined total of less than nine minutes before adjourning without a single vote or topical discussion.
In the House, fewer than a dozen people were in attendance for the constitutionally mandated veto session that lasted about 3 ½ minutes. That time included the opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
The session had the sole purpose of reconsidering and re-passing bills that the legislature passed this session, but Gov. Ned Lamont vetoed.
