Construction of new cancer center underway at Greenwich Hospital

Greenwich Hospital hosted a celebratory kickoff to mark the construction of the new Smilow Cancer Hospital.

The hospital will provide the community with greater access to leading cancer specialists and the pioneering research of Yale Cancer Center.

The center will be Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

William Oh, medical director of Smilow, explained that following the completion of the hospital, cancer care is set to be more accessible to those in need within the Greenwich and Fairfield area.
