DeLauro boosts infant formula safety

Babies aren’t born Democrat or Republican. They’re just born in need of nutrients to help them grow and thrive. Families need to know that the formula they’re buying is not going to make their babies sick.

That was the prevailing message of Tuesday morning’s press conference at Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) on Grand Avenue that included U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, healthcare leaders, and pediatricians. Its purpose: to introduce bipartisan legislation known as the Infant Formula Safety Modernization Act.
