The mission of the Greater Middletown Opioids Task Force (GMOTF) is to engage the Greater Middletown community in working together to promote opioid awareness, education, prevention, harm reduction and access to treatment thereby reducing opioid-related overdoses and deaths and building a healthy, safe and drug-free community. GMOTF’s vision is: a community working together to prevent and to help people experiencing opioid use challenges. The GMOTF meets on a monthly basis, reviews local overdose data, keeps abreast of state priorities, provides member spotlights and information sharing, prioritizes task force goals, and supports an extensive network of community partners in addressing the opioid epidemic. |

The Village Expanded Recovery Vehicle (VERV) program was launched in Middletown, CT. The mobile recovery vehicle through The Village for Families & Children is on-site once a week in Middletown. Services include: recovery coaching; case management; narcan distribution; harm reduction tools and information; connections to treatment, if and when ready; one-time Suboxone Bridge prescriptions. VERV staff also work in partnership with existing agencies to help individuals who have been impacted by substance use access recovery coaching, harm reduction tools and other support to aid in their recovery journey. |

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services & Young Adult Mental Health Services |
Mental Health Outpatient Clinic provides families with children ages 5-18 services to meet individual needs, including individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychiatric evaluation and medication management. A range of issues are addressed, including: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, grief, and more. Services help children and adolescents, and their families understand and manage emotional, developmental, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. The IICAPS: Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services is an intensive in-home services for families with children and adolescents experiencing serious emotional and behavioral problems. IICAPS provides a team approach for 4-6 month intervention, providing in-home family and individual therapy. Young Adult Services (YAS) provides an intensive outpatient program designed to address issues with commonly impact young adults (ages 18-25), including relationship stress, family dynamics, depression, substance use, as well as challenges with work and school. Treatment includes group therapy, individual therapy sessions, education, family counseling, as well as psychiatric evaluation with ongoing medication management. This program is designed to offer intensive treatment and increased support over the course of 4-6 weeks. |

Outpatient Services for Community Members Experiencing Mental Health Issues and Substance Use Disorder |
Comprehensive Adult Outpatient Care services for community members experiencing mental health issues and substance use disorder provided through the Beit Paley Center for Mental Health Services. Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychological testing, short-term individual therapy, and group therapy. These treatments promote engagement while developing the skills needed to help with coping with difficult issues. Conditions treated include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, mood disorders, PTSD, and grief. The Day Treatment programs offer highly-structured treatment plans for adults and older adults. types of Day Treatment Programs include: 1) Adult Intensive Outpatient Program – An intensive three-day-per-week program, patients can attend a morning or afternoon session; 2) Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program – An intensive three-day-per-week program for patients who are in treatment for both mental health and substance use disorders; 3) Senior Intensive Outpatient Program – An intensive three-day-per-week program intended for seniors (age 65+) who are in need of mental health support. The goal of these programs is to decrease symptoms and promote recovery. Each patient will have access to the care they need while in any available program, which may include: Care management; Family therapy; Group therapy; Medication management; Occupational therapy; Ongoing psychiatric evaluation; Recreational therapy; Referral to addictions group therapy. Also offered is the Evening Recovery Program (ERP), an intensive treatment service for people living with addiction, which includes individualized care focused on treating the whole person – mind, body, and spirit and addressing underlying mental health issues and providing services for families and support persons. |
