Backus/Windham Hospitals Educational Observer Program This program provided 104 community members & students (16 years or older) in Eastern CT access to observe professionals in the health care setting, observing: Doctors, PA’s, Nurses, and other allied health professionals at work for a total of 1,635 hours from October 2023-September 2024, increasing awareness of job duties and promoting workforce development.
Bridgeport Hospital Harding High School Class Speakers Bridgeport Hospital staff regularly provides Harding High School students with an overview of a variety of health care careers.
Bristol Health Bristol Health/BARC Employment Program Bristol Hospital collaborates with the Bristol Adult Resource Center to match adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community with employment opportunities.
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Project Search The Project SEARCH program is a unique, business led, nine-month internship program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities hosted by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Interns complete three rotations with the main goal of gaining the necessary skills to obtain competitive employment.  
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Nursing Education Provides clinical staff hours in instructing, training and precepting nursing students in clinical settings.  
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Allied Health Professional Education Provides training hours to other allied health professionals and students including PT, OT, respiratory, lab tech, RD, pharmacy and radiology.  
Connecticut Children’s Walk to Work Program SINA has refocused its efforts towards increasing employment opportunities for neighborhood residents and increasing the neighborhood’s median family income.
Danbury Hospital Ability Beyond/Project Search Program Focused on providing experiential learning opportunities to individuals with disabilities and assisting with earning employment opportunities.
Danbury Hospital High School Immersion Program In partnership with Western Connecticut State University, we participate in a series of speaking engagements about careers and education in healthcare, both clinical and non-clinical, with the opportunity to speak to healthcare professionals and build connections.
Danbury Hospital Summer Internship Program A summer internship program at the Danbury Hospital Rudy L Ruggles Research Institute, for high school students, that supports skill development and career development.
Danbury Hospital Sacred Heart Nursing Immersion Program A weeklong immersion and shadowing program geared at providing SHU nursing students with relevant in class clinical training and on floor experiences so that the professional transition into healthcare is seamless.  
ECHN Capital Area Healthcare Partnership  The CAHP is a regional sector partnership focused on promoting jobs in healthcare. Participation in this partnership has resulted in greater access to  jobseekers.
ECHN Rockville High School Allied Health program ECHN partners with Rockville High School’s Allied Health program to allow studnts to shadow in our clinical areas for job exploration. ECHN employees also volunteer to conduct mock interviews with these students.
ECHN Manchester High School Allied Health program ECHN employees participate in panel discussions for career exploraton as well as mock interviews.
Greenwich Hospital Project SEARCH / Abilis Project SEARCH is a collaboration among Abilis Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Hospital, Darien YMCA, various local school districts and the CT Dept of Developmental Services.
Greenwich Hospital Youth Access Healthcare Explorers Program Students from Westchester and Fairfield County high schools are onsite at the hospital for five days for an immersive, innovative introduction to heath care that features teaching sessions and hands-on activities including two medical simulation sessions.

Hartford Hospital ReadyCT ReadyCT is a non-profit committed to advancing academic excellence and career-connected learning for CT students by pursuing opportunities and education program delivery in support of student achievement, with a focus on low-income and minority students whose academic performance traditionally trails their more affluent peers.
Hartford Hospital Physician Recruitment training and precepting medical students; continuing medical education (CME) required for state licensure or certification if CME programs are made available to practitioners on a community-wide basis

The Hospital of Central Connecticut Community-Building Activities  – OIC of New Britain Volunteer Services/Workforce Development departments partnered with Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of New Britain by hosting a career exploration for the students. They also hosted their interns (onboarding, orienting, mentoring them – including surgical techs and CNAs).
The Hospital of Central Connecticut Community-Building Activities – Ready CT Program Volunteer Services/Workforce Development departments work to improve public education and work-based learning classes in preparation for internships.
The Hospital of Central Connecticut Community-Building Activities – Workforce Development – Project SEARCH Workforce Development/Volunteer Services support this program which serves young people with disabilities, typically high school and transition aged students who are on an IEP
The Hospital of Central Connecticut Community-Building Activities – Career Fairs Career fairs at various schools including Berlin High School, Southington High School, EC Goodwin Health, Plainville School and other businesses.  
The Hospital of Central Connecticut GRIT G.R.I.T. is a 5-week summer program for ReadyCT 10th& 11th grade students from various high schools in the Greater Hartford area. Student teams work on real-world business projects that are provided by company sponsors. The program also offers various workshops, skill building exercises, guest speaker events, and other career learning opportunities.
L+M Hospital Clinical Site for Nursing Students Mitchell College will be adding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to “address a critical shortfall of nurses in today’s healthcare system, Yale New Haven Health/Lawrence + Memorial Hospital will be lead clinical partner.
Middlesex Health Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residency Program Helping to prepare future health care professionals is a long-standing commitment of Middlesex Hospital and distinguishing characteristic that constitutes a significant community benefit. Year round, the Hospital supports health professions education for medical students, nursing students and technicians. The nationally respected Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residency Program graduates an impressive number of Family Medicine physicians, many of whom continue to practice in the Middlesex County area after their training is complete. For more than 40 years the Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program has trained physicians for a future in family practice. The educational curriculum encompasses a balanced approach in the domains of practical experiences and academics; independent and supervised study; office practice and hospital care; biomedical and psychosocial issues; personal medical care and community health perspectives; and core requirements and self-directed learning. Specialty tracks include: maternal/child; palliative medicine/geriatric; international health; integrative medicine; academic and leadership. To strengthen commitment to community health, each resident is required to participate in a community project as a means of understanding the community’s available resources and health needs. Many of the residency projects have developed into ongoing support programs for community members.
Middlesex Health Nursing Students Middlesex Health welcomes nursing student interns and provides on-site training during clinical rotations. Nursing students from local colleges and programs receive hands-on mentorship in the majority of clinical service lines year-round. For the nursing students, a good portion of the student-staff interaction is 1:1. The objective of the rotational format is to complement classroom learning with practical application; expose students to the integration of evidence-based practice; train students in the care for patients with complex needs; and aid students in developing the organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills needed to enter the field of nursing.
Middlesex Health Medical Student Education  Middlesex Health welcomes medical student interns and provides on-site training during clinical rotations. 
Middlesex Health Radiology School Middlesex Health Radiology School is a 50+ year old program that graduates radiologic technologists with an associates degree, prepares them to pass the national certification test for radiographers and quality for state licensure, and operates at a loss for the Hospital.
Middlesex Health Clinical Student Interns  Middlesex Health provides clinical educational student training in the fields of (including, but not limited to): Anesthesiology; Behavioral Health (inpatient and outpatient); Cardiac Rehab; Occupational Therapy; Paramedica; Pharmacy; Physical Therapy; Radiology; Respiratory Therapy; Social Work; Speech Therapy and Ultrasound.
Middlesex Health Non-Clinical Student Interns  Middlesex Health provides non-clinical educational student training in the fields of (including, but not limited to): Community Health Improvement; Health Information; and Pastoral Care. 
Middlesex Health Project SEARCH Middlesex Health serves as host site is to create and provide a learning environment for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Middlesex Health provides intensive employment skills training through a total workplace immersion with Internship rotations for career exploration and job skills acquisition. The goal is for the students to acquire and strengthen specific skills to assist with their job search.
Middlesex Health Middlesex Health Medical Explorers Middlesex Health’s Medical Explorers program is designed to address the lack of racial and ethnic representation in healthcare. The program’s objective is to create a healthcare educational pipeline by introducing Black, Indigenous, and Latino/a/s students to a variety of health care professions through an engaged interactive learning experiences.
Middlesex Health Shoreline Medical Center Career Day Local high school juniors are invited to attend this event. Career Day comprises eight work stations representing various healthcare disciplines. The intent of the experience is to spark an interest in healthcare as a career choice.

MidState Medical Center Community Building Activities – HUBCAP Wallingford  HUBCAP Walingford : Adult Ed Pipeline Program-Medical Career Night the program was generated to promote and increase participation for the Medical Course offed by Adult Ed. The presentation should include career path, duties, and responsibilities (a day in life), optional – advantage starting salary and benefits.

Sharon Hospital Summer Internship Program Students from Salisbury High School spend the summer shadowing at Sharon Hospital to gain exposure to clinical and non-clinical healthcare roles.
Sharon Hospital Career Readiness Program Housatonic High School students get to hear from hospital leaders, physicians, and other staff about careers in healthcare, while being introduced to various departments – they spend 5 weeks learning about career pathways, job opportunities, and career development skills.
Stamford Health Abilis Project SEARCH Stamford Health is a Project SEARCH site, offering a nine-month internship to teach adults with disabilities health care job skills.
Stamford Health Norwalk Community College Partner with Norwalk Community College’s nursing program to offer graduating resident nurses a matching scholarship to aid in their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. 
Trinity Health Of New England Black Men In White Coats Black Men in White Coats (BMWC) aims to increase the number of Black individuals in the field of medicine through exposure, inspiration, and mentoring. Saint Mary’s Hospital hosted Connecticut’s first BMWC event in Waterbury, with plans to expand its future summits.

Waterbury HEALTH Youth Pipeline Initiative Program: Summer Bridge Waterbury Hospital offers a 5-week comprehensive program to mostly inner city high school students. The program offers education and opportunities for students to explore career options through job shadowing and learn life skills such as cooking and nutrition. 9 students.
Waterbury HEALTH Northwest Regional Workforce Development High School Career Development Internship Waterbury HEALTH provides a week-long career development program for High School Students to expose them to careers in healthcare. 9 students.
Yale New Haven Hospital ConnCAT ConnCAT (Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology) began in 2010 as a collaboration with Yale New Haven Hospital to provide hard skills training to job seekers with employment barriers.
Yale New Haven Hospital School to Career The goals of School to Career, which is a paid internship opportunity for high school students in the New Haven public school system, are to mentor and coach students in the necessary skills to become successful in the workplace while showcasing career opportunities in health care and related industries in both clinical and administrative roles.
Yale New Haven Hospital Minority Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Program Seven four-year scholarships ($2,000 per year) are awarded to minority students pursuing degrees in nursing or allied health professions.
