HARTFORD, CT – Comptroller Sean Scanlon is projecting state budget surpluses of $190.3 million and $149 million, for the General and Special Transportation funds, respectively, at the end of the current fiscal year, which ends June 30, 2025.
That’s $119.1 million higher than last month for the General Fund and $17.4 million higher for the Special Transportation Fund (STF). Despite the relative health of the state’s bigger financial picture, Scanlon reports that the General Fund ran a $107.5 million deficit in November based on $383.7 million in over-budget expenditures and revenues that came in $276.2 million higher than was expected.
