There is no fee for this event. Thousands of children in this country each year are born to caregivers who have used alcohol, marijuana, or illicit drugs during pregnancy. This session will explore the biological and psychosocial factors that impact the development of a nurturing relationship between a caregiver with a history of substance use during pregnancy and her child, and will provide an overview of intervention strategies that can promote positive attachment, development, and learning.
