Best Practices for Nonhazardous and Hazardous Sterile-to-Sterile Compounding (five-and-a-half-day training for Hospital Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians)

This interactive, five-and-a-half-day/33-hour, virtual training is designed for hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and will provide best practice education and the skills necessary for nonhazardous and hazardous sterile-to-sterile compounding. Specific areas that will be addressed are: contamination controls—including garbing, hand hygiene, and donning and doffing—sterile-to-sterile compounding, sanitization, decontamination, environmental monitoring, and receiving, storing, compounding, and transporting hazardous drugs. Specifications regarding the testing and certification of PECs and SECs will also be addressed.

Registration for this session includes access to 29 of CriticalPoint’s eLearning lessons and post tests, comprising 34 hours of ACPE-approved CE. The 29 lessons and post tests must be completed by all participants prior to the scheduled training. The five-and-a-half-day live, virtual training is awarded 23.5 hours of ACPE-approved CE.

This five-and-a-half-day training session will be held on November 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Please note: the session on Wednesday, November 4 will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

This one-and-a-half-day, virtual training, is designed for hospital engineers, architects, and facilities personnel—will include contamination control principles related to cleanroom suites and segregated compounding areas, and information on primary and secondary engineering controls for nonhazardous sterile compounding and hazardous drug compounding. Specifications regarding the testing and certification of PECs and SECs will also be addressed.

Registration for this session includes access to two of CriticalPoint’s eLearning lessons on Engineering Controls for Sterile Compounding. These two lessons and post tests must be completed by all participants prior to the scheduled training.

This one-and-a-half-day training session will be held on November 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and November 4 from from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
