Connecticut doctor reacts to CDC’s change in COVID-19 vaccine recommendations

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has changed its stance on the COVID-19 vaccine, saying it will leave the choice to get one up to individuals.

The switch to the individual-based decision-making model is a departure from the CDC’s recommendation in previous years that everyone six months and older get the COVID vaccine. The CDC adopted this change based on recommendations made by advisors picked by US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
